Regu lations for the Diploma In Guida nce Mild Coun ~lUng

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 28(5)

and 29(6) of the Education Act, 1988, the Chancellor of Ihe University

of Mal ta has promulgated the following regulations made by the Senale

o f the University o f Malta in virtue o f the powers confe rred upon it

by section 33 of the said A ct.

Citation

These Regul ations ma y be ciled as the Regulations fo r the Diplom a

in Guidance and Counselli ng. and are applicable o nly 10 the course

wh ich started in Octobe r 1987.

Admission

1 To be eligible rOT the award of the Dip loma in Guidance and Counse lling

a ca ndidate must have

(a) been registe red as a pan -time student in the Facul ty of Education for

not less than two years

(b)

compl eted the appropriate study program me;

(c)

sa tisfied the relevant assess ment cri teria

(d ) sa tisfied all ot her requ ireme nts laid down in the Regulat ions an d Bye-

Laws.

Educa tion if he satisfies th e requiremen ts for admi ssion to the Diploma in Guidance

and Cou n ~e!ling as established in the Bye- Laws.

3.1 The dumtion of thi s pari-ti me eveni ng course shall exte nd over a period of

twO yea rs .

3.2 The cou rse programme shall consis t of 30 study-units to each of whicb a

credit shall be :I:.signed. A ca talogue of st udy-uni ts and of the credit s assigned 10 each

uni t shall be submitted by the F:lcult y Board to the Senate for its approva l.
