IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 39 of the Encmal ta

Act. 19n. Enemalla. wllh the approyal of the Ministe r for

De\'elopme nt of In frastructure. has made the following regulations: -

I. (I) These regulations may be (i led as the Electricity Supply

(Ame ndme nt) Regulations. 1990. and shall be read and co nst rued as

o ne with the Electrici ty Supply Regulations. 1939, herei nafter refe rred

was "the princ'pal regulations".

(2) These regul ations shall haye effect as from the 1st

Nove mber. 1990.

The proviso 10 regu l ~ti on 42 of the principal reg ulati ons shall

be deleted .

J. The Second Schedule 10 the principal regulations shall be

amended as folio",,
