Regulations (Amendment) Order, 199(1

IN e;o:ercise of the powers conferred by sectiOll 28 of the Public

Transpon Authority Act . 1989, the Prime Minister has made the

foUov.ing o rder:-

I. This orde r may be cited as the Motor Omnibuses (GOlO

Servkes) Regulations (A mendme nt) Order, 1990, and the amendmen ts

affected thereby sha ll be read and construed as one wit h the Motor

Omnibuses (Gozo SCJ"Yices) Regulations, 1988, hereinafter referred to

as "the principal regulations".

Reg. 2 -. — 169 tal-1990 – Ordni tal-1990 li Jemenda r-Regolamenti dwar Omnibusijiet bil-Mutur (Servizzi ta' Għawdex) Open official source

Regulation 3 of the principal regulations shall be amended as

follows:-

(a) in paragraph (1) thereof, for the words "There shall be

se t up by the Commissione r of Police:" the re sha ll be substituted

the words "The Public Transport Authori ty shall sel up:";

(b) in subparagraph (b) of paragraph (I) the reof, for th e

words ~ by the said Commissioner of Police" there shall be

substitu led the words "by the said Autho rit y"; and

Commissionerof Police" to "imple ment" there shall be substituted

the wo rds "The Public Transport Autho rity shall be empowe red to

direct, inspect, con trol and impleme nt".

Reguiation 4 of the pri ncipal regulations shall be amended as

folloW5:-

(a) in paragraph (2) thereof -

(i) in subparagraph (b) thereof. for the words ~by the

Commissioner of Police" the re shall be substituted the wo rds

"by th e Pub lic Transport Authority"; and

(ii) in subparagraph (c) thereof. for the words fmm Mby

the Com missioner of Police" to "implement" there shall be

subst ituted the words "by the Public Transport Authority. the

said Autho rity shall be e mpowered to pre pare and

implement";

(b) in paragraph (3) Ihereof. for the words from

"Government Depart me nt" to ~from time 10 time." there shall be

subiSliHJled the words "Public Transport Autho rity."; and

Commissione r of Police shall have the power to de termine" there

shall be substituted th e words "the Public Transport A uthority

shall be empowered to determine".

4, Paragraph (2) o f regulation 5 of the principal regulations shall

be llII1C nded as follows: -

(a) in subparagraph (b) thereof. for the words "by the

Commissione r of Police" there shall be inserted the words "by the

Public Transport Auth ority~; and

(b) in subparagraph (c) thereof, for the wo rds from "by the

Commissioner of Police to "implement" there sha ll be subst it uted

the words "by the Public Transport Au thority. the said Authorit y

mall be e mpowe red to prepare and impleme nt".
