Regulations (Amendment) Order. 1990

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 o f the Public

Tra nsport Authority Act. 1989. the Prime Minister hll5 made the

fo llowing ordcr: -

I. This o rde r mlly be cited 115 the Motor Omn ibuses (Scheduled

and Unscheduled Service) Regulations {Amendment)Order. 1990. and

the amendments affected thereby shall be read and construed as o ne

with the Motor Omnibuses (Schedu led and Unscheduled Service)

RegUlations. 1978. hereinaft er referred 10 as ~ the principal

2, For paragraphs (2) and (3) of regul ation 3 of the pri ncipal

regulations. there shall be sub!;tituted the following: -

'·(2) The Public Transport Authori ty shall have the powe r to

inspect a nd to control the activities of the sa id Cent ral Offices.

(3) The PublicTransport Autho rit)' and/or any publ ic officer

authorised by the Minister responsible for tourism shall have the power

10 inspeet and to control the activities of the Central Office for

U nschedu led Services. ".

I n paragraph (2) of regulation 4 of the principal regulatioru; , for

the words "(subject to approval by the Public Traru;port Office of the

Prime Minister's Officey the re shall be substituted the words M(subjecl

to the approval of the Publie Transport Au thori ty)M.
