ENGINEERING PROFESSION ACT, 1988

IN exercise of the powenconferred by section I of the Enginee ring

Profession Act, 1988, hereinafter referred to as - the principal AcC , the

Minister for Development o f Infrastructu re has designated the

following dates to be com mencemen t dates for the purposes of the

principal Act:-

22 nd Feb ruary, 1988 as the date on whi ch the provisions of section

2 of Act No, V of 1990 relating to the deletion of the $«Ond proviso 10

subsect ion (I) and 10 the amendment of paragraph (c) o f subsection (2)

o f section 6 of the principal Act , and the provisions of sections I, 2. 21

and 22 o f the principal Act shall be deemed to have come in to force;

1st June , 1988 as tbe date on which all the other provisions of

section 6. o f paragraph (d) o f subs«tKIIl ( I) and of subsection (2) o f

section 7 of the principal Act shall be deemed to have come into force;

1st Se ptember, 1990 as the date on which the provisions of

subsections (2) and (3) of sectio n 3, sections 4 an d S, paragraphs (a), (c)

and (e) of subse<:tion (I) and subs«tion (3) o f section 7, sections 12, 13

and 17, subsections (1), (2) and (4) of sectio n 19, and section 20 of the

principal Act shall come into force.
