Ports Ordinance. the Min iste r fo r De velopm en t of Tertiary Seclor has

made the following regulal ions:_

I. These rcgu lalions may be cited as the Pilotage a nd Mooring

(Amendmen t) Regu lations, 1989. and shall be read aIld construed as

one with the PiJotagea nd Mooring Regula tions, 1975. he reinafte r re fer-

red 10 as "the pri ncipal regu lations",

In sub.-paragraph (b) of paragraph (I) of regulatio n J of t he

principal regulations. for the words "t wen ty-five yeaTS of age" t here

shall be substitut~ the wo rds Ulwenty-I hree years of age ".

For paragraph (b) of regu lation 4 of the principa l regul ations

th~ r~ shall be substi tuted the followi ng

"( b) al$O produce evidence of at least five years sea service

incl uding sea sc rvice in ports: provided that tbe said period of five

yea rs may be reduced to fou r years in the case of pe rsons holdi ng

the ce n ificate or an equivale nt ce rtificate as refe rred to in sub-

pa ragraph (i) of paragraph (l) o f this regulat ion. R.
