IN exercise of the powers confe rred by section 12 o f Ihe Guest

Houses and Hol iday Furnished Premises Act , 1974 , the Minister for

Development of Tertiary Secto r, wil h the concurrence of the Min iste r

o f Finance, has made the follo""1ng regulations:-

I. ( I) 'l1Jese regu lations may be ciled as the Gues t Houses and

Holiday Furnished Premises (Amendmenl) Regulations, 1989. and

shall be read and const ru ed as one with the Guesl Houses a nd Holiday

princi pal regu lati ons".

(2) The amendments made by section 2 o f these regulations

to the Eigh lh Schedule of the prineipal regulalions shall be deemed 10

hnve effect as follows: -

(a) Pari I (b) and (c) and Pari 11 the reof shall be deemed

to ha ve come inlo force on Ihe ISI Jan uary, 1989; and

(b) Pari I (a) thereof shall come illlo force on the 1st

January , 1990.

2, For Ihe Eighth Schedule to the pri ncipal regul ations, there

shall be substi tuted the following:-
