IN exe rcise of the powers conferred by section 5 of Ihe Condit ions

of Employmen t ( Regulation) Act. 1952. the Minister for Social Policy

has made t/le following Ordc r:-

(I) This Or<kr may be cited as \lIe Who lesale and Reta il

Trades Wages Council (Amendment) Order. 1989 and sha ll be read and

construed as onc with the Wh olesale 3nd Retail Trades Wages Council

Order, published as Go~crn mc nt Notice No. 430 o n the 19th August ,

1955 and hereinafter referred 10 as "the principal orde r".

(2) Th is Order shall come imo force on such da le as the

Minislt:. in charge of the lkpart ment of Labour and Emigration may fix

by notice pu Dlished in the Ga~lIe .

For subparagraph (b) of paragraph J o f the principal o rde r and

the t ~cl usion thereto. Ih tre shall be substituted the followi ng:-

"(b) retailers. lending libraries, auctioneers, ha ird ressers.

consumers' cooperatives. phot ographic st udios

but excludes any shop wh ich is run directly under the manage ment of a

hotel or o f a club as pari of Ihe amenities therwf or which is give n 0 1,1 1
