IN exercise of the powe rs conferred by section 14 of the Industrial
Training Act, th e Minister for Social Policy. after co nsu lting the Youth
Advi sory Co mmittee. has made the following o rder: -
I. Thi s order may be cited as the Industrial Traini ng Act
(Schemes Amendme nt) Order. 1989. and shall come into force o n the
Z. The sche mes specified in the first column of the Schedule
he re to shall have effect subject to the amendme nt s specified in the
seoond column o f the said Schedule .

exceed the ordina ry hours applicable to the cm·
ployer's establilihment in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Conditions of Employment ( Regula-
tion) Act
Provided that an employe r maye ngug.:: an
apprentice on ove n ime with the prior approval in
wri ting of the Director who may, in granting sucll
approval. impose such co nd itions 3S he may deem
fi t. The ral es of rem un eration for ovenime work
shall be Ihusespeeified in th e wage regulat ion order
appl icable to the establishment. ~_
