Rrgulations for the Dipklma in Religious Sludie!l (Dip.Het.Stud.)

IN exercise of the powCq conferred upon him by $CCtions 28(5) and

29(6) of tbe Educatiun Act, 1988, t he Chancello r o f the University of

Malta has promulgated ' he followi ng regu lations made by the Senateof

the Univcrsi lY of Malta in vin ue of Ihe powers conferred upon it by

.section 33 o f the said Act: -

which staned in October. 1985 or late r.

I. The Regulations applicable for the Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Religious

St udies ( B.A. (Rei. SlUd.)) $hall apply to students who take the COUrJ;e leading to the

Di ploma in Religious Studies (Dip. ReI. St ud.) with. the folowi ng exceplions and

variations

(i) The programme of studies for the Diploma in Religious Studies (Dip.

Re I. Stud. ) sha ll be regu la ted as follows

al The course s.Ilall txtend oormal1y ove r the first two years of the

Course for the Degree of B.A. in Rdigious Studies.

b) The syllabus for the Diploma shall be published concurrently with

that of the B.A. for Religious Studies.

cl The complete list of study+u nits required for the Diploma in

Religious Studies shall indude courses corresponding 10 24 credits IInd shall

norma lly be take n from courses followed by students reading for the B.A.

Degree in Religious Studies.

(ii) The writte n final examination shall be held at the end of the two year

course. and s.Ilall ronsist of such papers as may be indicated in the syllabus.

(iii) The long essay to be submilled by the student shall be of nol less than

3,(0) words. aoo shall be submin ed al least one month before the Final

Examina tion, unless the Facu lty Board , for good reason , allows it to be submined

a t a la te r da te.

(iv) The overall assessment o f a candidate fo r the Diploma in Religious

Studies shall take into account his performance at the semester examinations, at

the Final Examination and in tne Long Essay.

The present Regulations shall apply 10 stude nts adm itted 10 roUI"$eS

commencing in or after lhe 1st Octobe r 1985.
