."ish Marbel", (Amendmenl) Regulat ions, 1989

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Fish

Industry Act , the Mini ste r of Productive Developme nt , with the

coocurren.ce of the Mini ster of Fina nce, has made the following

regulations:-

These regula tions m~~ be cited as the Fish Marketing

(A mendme nt) Regulations, 1989and shall be rcadandoonstrued asone

with the fish Marketing Regulations. 1957. hereinafter rdrrcd 10 as Rlhe

principal rcgulalionsM,

For paragraph (I) o f regulation 18 of the principal regulalions

there shall be substit uted the following:-

M(I)

Whe n making payment in term s of the preu'ding

regulation , the Director Shall deduct an amoun t eq uivalent to

3 per cen t o r to pe r cc nt from the amounts due to the

fisherman or to the importer respectively , and e xcept for the

provisions of regulu tion lOA of th ese regulations, the amount

to be paid 10 the pitkalll5 remuneration for hi s services shall in

both cases be 6.3 pe r cent on the amount of the registered

~le5.".

J . Immediately aft er regu lation 20, there shall be added the

following new regulution:-

the Directo r a commission of 4.4 per cent of the value of fish

sold.-.
