IN exercise of the powers conferred by S«1ion 22 of the Duty on

Docu ments Act. 1981 , the Ministe r o f Finance has made the following

regulalions:-

I . These regulations may be ci ted as Ihe DUly on Cheque Fo rms

Regulations, 1989, and shall be deemed 10 have come into force on Ihe

1st June . 1989.

Paymen l of duly on cheque forms supplied or issucd by any

person carrying out the business of ba nking in M ~lta sha ll be made

before the supply or issue of the said cheq ues. in such manncr as thc

Commissioner may from time [0 time direct.

J. Cheque forms on whi ch duty hlls becn paid as provided in

regulation 20flhcse regulal ions, shall on each such fonn be prin ted with

a n appropriate serial number loge the r with thc name oflhe bank issuing

the cheque form.

repealed.
