IN EXER CISE of the powe rs conferred by ,;c,;lion 4, of the

Govern ment Loue ries Act, \981. the Minister of Fi nance has made (he

following rcgulations: -

T llesc regulations may be ciled as the Government Lotteries

(Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations , 1988. and shall be read and

construed as onc with the G overnment Loncrics Regulations. 1981.

hereinafter referred 10 as "the principal regulations",

For paragraph (2) of regulation 16 of the principal regu lations

there shall be substituted the following

"(2) A statement of the receipts and expenditure of the

Wee kly and Grand Lotteries Unclaimed Prizes Fund for each

financial year ending 31st December, shall be published in thc

Gazette.",

J, For paragraph A o f the Schedule of Prizes contained in the

Schedule to the pri nci pal regulation, there shall be substituted Ihe

following

Three Prius of Lm500 (Five hundred Malt ese liri) eaeh

Three Prize, of Lm250 (Two hundred fifty Maltese liri)

eaeh

Twenty,onc consolation prizes of LmlOO (One hundred

Maltese liri) each to be awarded to the holders of tickets

bearing the same numbers, but with a different letter of the

tickcts winning the First Prize of Lm60 .cOJ, the Second Prize

of Lm25,OOO, and the Third I'rize of Lm iO,OOO.".
