Regulations, 1988

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 11 of the

Housing (Decontrol) Ordinance, 1959. the Deputy Prime Minister and

Minister of the Interior and Justice has made the following

regulations: -

l. These regulations may be cited as the Registration of

Decontrolled Dwelling Houses (Amendment) Regulations. 1988 and

shall be read andoonstrued asone with the Registration of Decontrolled

Dwelling Houses Regulations, 1959. hereinafter referred to as "the

principal regulations",

Fo r paragraph (I) of regulation 6 of the principal regulations

there shall be substituted the folJowing: -

"(I) On being satisfied that the premises to which the

applica tion relates comply with the requirements of anyone of

paragraphs (a), (b). (c). (d) , (e) or (0 of section 3 ofthe Ordinance

and, where applicable, are not excepted under the provisions of

subsection (1) of section 6 thereof, the Land Valuation Officer shall

make an order granting the application and shall send a copy of such

order to the applicant by registered post. ".
