Prevention of Disease (Compensation for Slaughtered Animals)

(Amendment) Rrgulatioos , 1988

IN exercise of lhe powers conferred by section n and by paragraph

(n) of section 87 of the Pre vent ion of Disease Ordinance , the Ministe r

of Productive Deve lopm ent , on the advice of the Council of Health .

and with the concurrence of {he Ministe r of Finance, has made the

following regulalions;-

I. These regulations may be cited as the Preve ntion of Disease

(Compensation for Slaughtered Animals) (Amendment) Regulalions.

1988, and shall be read and construed as one with the Prevention of

Disease (Compensation fOT Slaughtered Animals) Regulat ions, 1961,

hereinafte r referred to as "th e principal regu lations".

In paragraph 2 of the Schedule to the principal regulations,

for the words ~ a mileh cow " the re shall be substitu ted the words "a

mileh cow or a pregnant heifer~.

In paragraph 3 of th e Sehed ul e to the principal regulations ,

for the words "of a mileh cow" there shall be substituted the words

"of a mileh cow o r a pregnant heifer",

In paragra ph 4 0f the Schedule to the principal regulations, -

(a) for the words "a mileh cow" there shall be substituted

the words "a mileh cow or a pregnant heifer". and

(b) for the words "such cow" wherever they occur there

shall be substituted in each case the words "such cow o r pregnan t

he ifer",
