Notarlal Profession ilnd NOlarial Archives Act (Schedule) (Amendment)

Regulations, 1988

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (2) of section

146 of t he Notarial Profession and Notarial Archives Act, the Deputy

Prime Mini ster and Mini ster for l nlemal Affa irs and Justice, with Ih e

concurrence of the Minister of Finance. has made Ihe following

regutations:-

I. (I) These regulations may be cited as tile Notarial Profession

and Notarial Archives Act (Schedule) (Am endment) Regulations.

1988, and shall be read and const rued as one wi th the Schedule annexed

10 the Notarial Profess ion and Notarial Archives Act. hereinafte r

referred to as ~the Schedule~.

(2) These regula tions shall come inlo force on the 1st day

of October, 1988.

For item 460f Pan 11 of the Schedule there shall be subst ituted

the following new item

M46. For ally copy, exlract, inspection or perusal of any

no tarial act deposited in the Archives, the same charges as are

due In nOlaries by way n f fee, shall be levied: prnvided thal

infnnnal photocopies nf any such aCls which arc requested by

persons who are ma king researches fnr a purely historical, li terary

or scientific purpose alld who are authorised as such in virtue of

item 49hereof, shall becharged at the reduced rate Qf3cO per page.

No fee shall be levied fQr the inspection of an act if th e party

orders a copy Qr extract thereof Qr therefrom.

For any copy of or extract from any act which is difficu lt 10

read, the fees nonnally payable shall be doubled:· .
