Govemment Lotteries (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1988

IN exercise of th e powers conferred by section 4 of the Government

wtteries Act. 1981. th e Minister of Finance has made the following

regulations:-

I. (I) Th ese regulations may be cited as the Govern men t

wtte ries (Amend me nt ) (No. 2) Regulatio ns, 1988 and shall be read

a nd construed asone with the Government Lotteri es Regulations, 1981. L.N. 66

hereinafter refe TTed to as "the principal regulati ons

These regulations shall come in to force on the 6th May .

For paragraph (4) of regulation 3 of the principal regulations.

Immediately afte r regulation 3 o f the principal regulations,

there shall be added the following new regulations

"3 A . For each Wee kly Lottery, the Lotto Department will

put upforsa!e 99,999 tickets. All these tickets will participate in the

draw , irrespective of whether all these tickets have been sold or

not.

The prize money in respect of any win ning Wee kly

Lottery ti cket which had remained unsold is to be carried forward

to the prize funds of the following two weeks in e qual amounts,

increasing the prize fund o f the first prize in each of the two

following weeks.".

Schedule to the principal regulations, there shall be substituted th e
