IN EXERCISE of th e powe rs conferred by section 2 of the Fees

Ordina nce. the Minister for Deve lopment of Infrastructure wit h the

concurrence of the Minister of f-I nance, has made the following regula-

lion5:-

I, (I) These rq ul ations may be cited as the Fees (Building Per-

mits) (Amendment) Regulations. 1988. and shall be read and construed

referred to as .. the princi pal regu lati ons".

(2) These regulations shall be deemed tu have come into

forcc on thc 1st January. 1988.

Item 3 of the Schedule to the principal regul ations shall be

amended as (oiJo","s:-

(a) for s .. b-p<Hagraph (i ) of paragraph A thereof. there shall

be substilUted the (ollowing:-

"(i) For alteration works where no new

areas are being roofed there shall be paid a fee of ... 5.00.0";

(b) in the defin ition of " Adjacent houses:" in parograph B

the reof. the words "as well as ga ra ges for privately owned cars"

shall be dele ted;

(e) in tile defi nition of "Commerciol Buildin8s"i n paragraph

E thereof. for the words "garages in internal devetopment'· there

shall be substitut ed "garages for private cars": and

(d) im med iately at the cnd of paragraph E thereof. there

shall be added the followi ng new tit le {md paTagraph

"Change of U:;;e

F. Change of Use of Existing Building

For every sq ua re met re of roofed buildi ng on eaeh floor

th ere shall be paid a fee equal to the difference be tween the fee

due: for a permit for lhe e rection of a bui ld ing for the use to

which the building is to be changed and the fee whi ch would

have been payable had the building on Ihe date of the applica-

tion been constructed for the use being made thereof before
