(Amendment ) (No. 2) Regulali •• ms, 1988

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the W i re lcs~

Telegraphy Ordinance. [he Prime Minister has made Ihe following

regul«tions:-

Telegraphy (Broadcast Licence Chargcs)(Amcndmcnt) (No.2)

Regulations. 1988 and shall be read and construcd as onc with the

Wireless Tekgraphy ( Broadcast Licence Ch arges) Regulations. 1962,

hereinafter referred 10 as "thc principal regulations" ,

(2) These regulations shall come ;1110 force on the 1st

Janua ry. 1989.

The First Schedule 10 the principal regulations shall be

amended as follows:-

(a )

item 1 thereof shall be deleted;

(b) items 2 and 3 thereof sha ll be respectively renumbered

items 1 and 2;

(c) for sub-paragraph (i i) of paragraph (b) of item 1 as

re numbered there shall be substitukd the followin g

(d) in sub-paragraph (iii) of item 2 as renumbercd. for the

Fee. there shall be substituted the words "Lm15

(e) in it em 2 as renum bered for the words from "For the

purposes of this Schedulc"' to "'44 centimetres measured

diagonally."' there shall be substituted the following

a television appara tus whi ch is by construction and

weight intended to be easily carried and having a picture tube

not exceed ing 44 centimetres measured diagonally.'" .
