Port Workers (Amendment) Regulations, 1987

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of Ihe Port

Workers Ordinance. 1962. 1he Prime Ministe r has. with the

concurrence of the DepUly Prime Minister and Minister of Finance

and Customs. made th e following regu lati ons:-

These regulations may be cited as th e Port Workers

(Amendment) Regulations, 1987, and shall be read and construed as

one with th e Port Workers Regulations, 1966. hereinafter refe rred to

as "the pri ncipal regulations·'.

Regulation 31 of the principal regu lations sh all be amended

as follows

( 1) Immediale ly after paragrap h (1) thereof there shall be

added the fOllowing new paragraph

"(2) The provisions of paragraph (1) of this reg ulalion

sha ll be deemed to have come into force o n the 4t h day of

April, 1973."'; and

(2)

Paragraph (2) thereof shall be rc-numbered as paragraph

(3).
