Electricity Supply (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1987

IN EXERCISE of the pOWtJ'1i conferred by section 39 or the

Enemalta Act. 1977, Enemalta. with the approval of the Minister of

Parastatal and People's I nvestme~Ts. bas made the foUowi ng

regu[alions:-

l. 'These regulations may be cited as the Electricity Supply

(Amendment) (No, 2) R egulations. 1987 and shall be read and corullrued

G,N, 223 of t9o'<l as one with the Eledricity Supply Regulations. 1939. hereinafter referred

to as "The principal regulations".

Immediately after regulation 42 of the principal regulatioos

there shall be in!lerted the following regulation

aCC<lmodation which are du ly registered with the Hotels aDd

Catering Establishments Board. Of' of agricultural enterprises,

in which in each case a water desalinalion plant of the reverse

osmosis type is installed and in operation whereby eloctricity

supplied fOf' U!le by such owner or operator to such plant shall

be separately metered. and be charged for in aCC<lrdance with

subparagraph (l) of paragraph 2 of the Fonnh Schedule to

these regUlations," .
