(CAP. 105)

IN ~ise of the powers conferred by section 93 of the Code of

Police Laws and by section 16 of the T raffic Regulation Ordinance, the

Commissioner of Police. with the advice of the Traffic Control Board,

has made the following n:guialions : _

These regulations may be ciled aJ; the Polling (Restriction of ClII~OII. aocI

1. In these regula tioru;, unless the context otherwise requires -

~Olief EIec10ral Commissioner" includes any olficcJ: of the

Electoral Commissioner's Office duly authorised by the Chief

Electoral Commissi oner \0 act on his behalf;

" Comm jssiO!H:f of Police" includell any officer of the Malta

Police Force duly authorised by the Commissioner of Police to act

on bill behlIIf;

"poll" mCIUIS the poll to he held on the 9th day of May, 1987,

polling place.

No pedestrian shall, unless in possession of a permit issued to R.mled_ on

him by the Ql.ief Electoral Commissioner or unles.<; Ql.herwise authorised pedrotrlana.

ENTRY " , a barrier or a road block whereve r PUt up by the Police at any

spot in the vicinity of the Counting Hall. Ha l Fa r, or of any pol ling place

as from 5.00 a.m. on Saturday. 9th May. 1987. until -

(a) the publication of the final result of the poll in the case of

Ihe Counting Hall, Hal Far, and

(b)

midnight of Sund;!y 10th May, 1987. in the case of any

polling place,

so however that this reslrict;oo slIall not apply to persons in posse!ISion of

the voting document entilling them 10 VOle at that partIcular polling place

and while such pel'$OllS arc 00 thei r way to that polling place

to cast their vote or are returning IheTefrom after having cast their vote.

No vehicle shall he parted in the vicinity of the approaches 10

tht Qlunting Hall. Hal Far, or of any polling place beyond a prohibitory

sign with the words "TGHADDIX - NO ENT RY" , a harrier or road

block wherever put up by the Police at any 8J>O' in the vicinity of the

said Counting Hall or places as from 5,00 I.m. on Saturday, 9th May.

Saving the provisions of section ISB or the Bb;toral (Polling)

Ordinance. the CommiSSioner or Police may probihit any penoc Irom

loitering in the vicinity of the approaches to the CountiD&. Hal1, Hal Far,

or of any polling place at any point beyond a prohibitory sign with the

woros "TCttADDl X _ NO HNTRY", a barrier or road block wberever

put up by the Police at any spot in the vicinity of the said Counting Hall

or places as from 5.00 a.m. on Saturday. 9th May, 1987, until -

These regulations shan expire OIl the publication or the final

ruult of the poll. but such expirati on shall not affect anyth ing done or
