PENSIONS ORDINANCE (CAP. 143)

PensiOIllli (Amendment) Regulations, 1987

IN eJlCIcise of the powers conferred by section 3 of th e Pensions

Ordinance, the Acting President of Malta has mad e the followi ng

regulations:-

Th ese regulations may be cited as Ihe Pensions (Amendment)

Regulations, 1981, and shall be rea d and construed as one with the

Pensions Regulations contained in the Schedule 10 the Pensions Ordin-

ance, hereinafter referred 10 as' " the princi pal regul ations".

1. In regulation 9 of the principal regulations, Immediately after

suh-paragraph (cl of parauapll (1) the.-eof there shall be added the fol-

lowing new paragraph

"(d) any periods during which he has been abseDt from duty

on leave without saltuy. granted on grountlsof public policy with

the approval of the President , and durin, which he has not qualified

for pension Of gratui ty in respect of other public service ....
