IN exercise of the powers conferred by section It of the Tourist
Guide Service Act , 1965. Ihe Minister of T ourism has made the following
regulations: ~
These regulations may be cited as the Touris! Guide Service
(Amendment) Regulations. 1987. and shall be read and construed as one
with the T ouriSI Guide Service R egulations. 1967. hereinafter referred
tv as "the principal regulations".
Regulalioo 2 of Ihe principal regulations shall be amended as
follows
(a) in paragraph (I) t hereQf, for the words " a distinctive badge"
there shaH be substituted the words "an identity card";
{bl in paragraph (2) thereof, fe r the words "wears the badge"
there shall be substituted the words "carries the identity card": and
(e) for the marginal note " Wearing of badge by tourist guide"
there shall be substituted the words "Carrying of identity card by
tourist guide".
For paragraph (I) of regulation 4 of the principal regulations_
mere shall be substituted the following
"(I ) T ourist guides shall be entitled to the following fees

R egulation 6 of the principal regnlations shall be amended a\
fo!lows
(a) for the words "tbirly six persons" there shaH be subslitut-
ed the words "shty persoos"; and
(b) immroialely al the end thereof there shall be inserted Ihe
following proviso
"Provided that when a party of tourists is conve)"ed on an
e~cursion by means of coaches. boats or other vehicles. no
tourist guide shall be in charge of more than one such coach.
