IN e~ercise of tile powers oonferred by sections J2 and 54 of the

Social Security Act , 1987, the, Minister of Labour and Social Services

has made the following order:-

This order may be cited as the Classes of Earnings (Special

For the purposes of the proviso to section 32 and the proviso

10 section 54 of the Social Security Act, 1987, no account shall be

taken of any earnings derived from services rendered

(a) by any person in any post or assignment wherein special

knowledge or know-how is required and the Minister is satisfied

that the number of pe rsons possessing such knowledge or know-

how is ve ry limited;

(b) under sections 328 and 329 of the Civil Code;

(c) by any person as a director or holder of an equivalent

office (including se rvice as a chairman) of any bank or company

or otber body corporate in which the Government has an interest,

and who is so appointed or nominated by the Government or by

any body or person acting on behalf o r with the approval of the

Government ; and

(d) as a Commissioner for J ustice appointed in accordance

with the Commissioners for Justice Act, 1981.

hereby revoked.
