IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 0( Ihe G overnment

Lolleries Act. 1981 , the Deputy Prime Mi nister and Minister of Finance

and Customs has made the following regulations:-

ci ted as the Government Lo tteries Citation.

The~ regutations may be

(Amendme nt) Regulat ions, 1986. and shall be read and construed as one

with the Governmen t Lotteries Regulations. 1981, hereinafter referred to LN. " of 1\111 1

as "the principal regulations".

There shall be paid to the seller or agent -

(a) of lhe ticket winning th e first pri~e in the Grand

Lottery

- a bonus of two hundred Maltese liri;

(b) 0( the tickets winning the second and third prize

in the Grnnd Lottery - a bonus of fifty Maltese liri each;

(c) of the tickets winning the fourth. fifth. sbth,

seventh. eighth. ni nth and tenth prize in the Grand Lottery

- a bonus of twenty Maltese liri each

(d) of the tickets winn ing the eleventh, twelfth.

th irteenth, fourteenth. fifteenth, sixteenth, sevcnteenth.

eighteenth. nineteenth and twent ieth prize in the Grnnd

Loncry - a bonus of ten Maltese liri each

(e) 0( the ticket winning the first pri~e in the

Week ly Lottery - a bonus of fifty Maltese liri;

in the Weekly Lottery _ a bonus of twenty Maltese lid

each;

(g) of the tickets winning the fourth. fifth. sixth.

seven th and eighth prize in the Weekly Lottery _ a bonus

of five Maltese liri each.".

3. For paragraph A of tbe Schedule of Prizes to the principal

regulations there shall be substituted the following

" A . GRAND LQTIERY

First Prize: LmSO,OOO (Fifty thousand Maltese liriJ

T wo Pri~es of LmS,OOO (Five thousand Maltese liTi) each

T hree Prizes of Lml,OOO (One thousand Maltese Iiri) each

Four Prizes of LmSOO (Five hundred Maltese liri) each

Ten Prizes of Lm250 (Two hundred and fifty Maltese liTi) each

Thirty-three (33) consolation prizes of Lml00 (One hundred Maltese

liri) each to be awarded to the holders of tickets bearing the

same numbers, but with a different letter of the tickets winning

the first, second and third prize respectively

One hundred and eighty-seven (187) consolation prizes consisting of

four Grand Lottery tickets to be awarded to each of the holders

of the tickets bearing the same numbers, but with a different letter of

the tickets winning the fourth to twentieth prize res-

pectively.”.
