IN exercise of the powers conlerred by section 42 of the Ports

Ortlinanec, 1962, the Pri me Minister has made the following

regulatioos:_

I. These regulations may be ci ted as the Port Rates (Amendment)

Regulutions. 1986. and shall be read and construed as onc with the Pori

LN . JJ of 1969 Rates Regulations. 1969. herein after referred \0 as "the principal

regulations",

jemendaw ir-Regolamenti dwar ir-Rati tal-Port u għandhom jinqraw u

jiftehmu ħaġa waħda mar-Regolamenti ta’ l-1969 dwar ir-Rati tal-Port,

hawnhekk iżjed ’il quddiem imsejħa “ir-regolamenti prinċipali”.

I. When goods arc removed 'rom a tl'llnsit 51100 or staclc to

any other place within a port including a ells/oms Bonded Wa re-

houJe, at the request of the owner or in accoroancc wi th the

provi&ioos of regulations 92 and 94 of the Ports Regulations. 1966.

the owner of the goods shall pay 10 the Director of Ports in respect

of caeb package so ~. the rate of:-

4c for every 50 kilograms or pan thereof or for

every 56633 cm' or part thereof, wtliche~ is the greater

amount

2, When a container or a trailer (other thsn an empty

container or trailer) is removed from Xall· ir·R isq to any other

quay or wharf in the Grand Harbour, or to Pinto Annc1t s t Pinto

Wharf, VIlHetta. or vice·versa, the owner, chanerer or master of

the ship from wh ich such container or trailer has been landed. or

on which they are loaded, 'hall pay to the Director of Por15 or to

his contnctor, as the case may be, the rate of LmS per container

or traile r," .
