IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Agricultural

and Fishing Ind ustries iFinancial Assistance) ACI, 1956, the Minister of

Agriculture and Fisheries with the approval of the Deputy Prime Minister

and Minister of Finance and CU;;IOIllS, has amended the Arrangements

for the provision of Financial Assistance published by Legal Notice No.

83 of 1981 of the 28th July. 1981, (hereinafter referred to as " the principal

Arrangements " as follows :-

I. For sub-paragraph 0) of paragraph I of the principal Arrange·

men IS. there shall be su bstituted the following

" (I) The DirCl::l0r of Agriculture and Fisheries, a representa·

tive of the Secretary. Ministry of Finance and Customs, a represen·

tative of the Chairman of the Co-operatives Board, an Assistant

Head in the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and two public

officers, one performing duties at the Ministry of Agriculture and

Fisheries and one at the Gozo branch of the Department of Agri.

culture and Firhcries. both appointed for {he purpose by the Minister

of Agriculture and Fisheries, shaH constitute a Commission to con·

sider applications for financial assistl!nce under the Ac!.".
