JUDICIAL ASSISTANTS AND EVIDENCE BY AFFIDAVIT

ACT, 1984

(ACT NO. XVII OF 1984)

Commencement Notice

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 (2) of the Judicial

Assistants and Evidence by Affidavit Act, 1947, the Senior Deputy

Prime Minister and Minister of Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has

appointed the 1st day of January, 1985 as the date on which sections

2, 6, 7, 9, to 12, 14 and 17 (in so far as they do not apply to judicial

assistants shall come into force.
