POLICE LICENCES ACT, 1949

Police Licences (Amendment) Regulations, 1983

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Police

Licences Act, 1949, the Minister of the Interior, with the concurrence of

the Minister of Finance, has made the following regulations:-

These regulations may be cited as the Police Licences (Amend-

ment) Regulations, 1983, and shall be read and construed as one with

the Police Licences Regulations, 1949, hereinafter referred to as "the

principal regulations".

In item 73 of the First Schedule to the principal regulations

immediately after the first proviso thereto there shall be inserted the

to the. prmclpal following new proviso

"Provided further that if the licence has not been

renewed by the 30th day of March, 1983, there shall be

payable, in respect of the licence for the year 1983,

inclusive of the fee for the test mentioned in item

72 (whether such test is required by the Commissioner of

Police or not), an additional fee of

Lm5".
