Port Rates (Amendment) Regulations, 1982

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 42 of the Ports

Ordinance, 1962, the Minister of Parastatal and People's Investments,

with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance, has made the

following regulations:-

These regulations may be cited as the Port Rates (Amend-

ment) Regulations, 1982, and shall be read and construed as one

with the Port Rates Regulations, 1969, hereinafter referred to as

"the principal regulations".

The First Schedule

to the

principal

regulations shall be Amends the

3mended as follows:-

(i) in Par t I thereof, for the figures "1.62,5" and "1.49,5"

shown under columns 2 and 3 against item (c) there shall be sub-

stituted respectively the figures "1.76,5" and "1.63,5";

(ii) in Part I thereof, for the figures "1.47,5" and "1.32,5"

shown under columns 2 and 3 against item (m) there shall be

substituted respectively the figures "1.61,5" and " 1.46,5";

(iii) in Part II thereof, for the figures "1.62,5" and "1.49,5"

shown under columns 2 and 3 against item (c) there shall be

substituted respectively the figures "1.76,5" and "1. 63,5"; and

(iv) in Part II thereof, for the figures "1.47,5" and "1.32,5"

shown under columns 2 and 3 against item (m) there shall be

substituted respectively the figures "1.61,5" and "1.46,5".

The Table in paragraph l of the Third Schedule to the prin- Amends the

cipal regulations shall be amended as follows

for the figures "2.05,4" and "92,9" shown under columns

(i)

2 and 3 against item (c) there shall be substituted respectively

the figures "2.10,4" and "97,9"; and

(ii) for the figures "1.77,5" and "86,5" shown under

columns 2 and 3 against item (k) there shaH be substituted res-

pectively the figures "1.82,5" and "91,5".

The Sev,enth Schedule to the principal regulations shall be

amended as foHows

(i) in Part I there of, for the figures "1.47,5" and "1.32,5"

shown under columns 2 and 3 in th.e Table of sub-paragraJl>h (b)

of paragraph l there shall be substituted respectively the figures

"1.61,5" and "1.46,5".

(ii) in Part II thereof, for the figures "1.47,5" and "1.32,5"

shown under columns 2 and 3 in the Table of sub-paragraph (b)

of paragraph l there shaH be substituted respectively the figures

"1.61,5" and "1.46,5"; and

(iii) in Patt III thereof, for the figures "47,5" shown under

column 2 against item (a) in the Table of sub-paragraph (a) of

paragraph l there shaH be substituted the figure "52,5".
