FACTORIES ORDINANCE (CAP. 1(9)

Factories (Extension of Definition) Order, 1982

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Factories

Ordinance, the Minister of Labour and Social Services has made the

following order:-

This order may be cited as the Factories (Extension of Defini-

tion) Order, 1982.

Any premises or open air space, where in a hoist or lift is in-

stalled, and is used by way of a connection with trade or for, or in

connection with, the purpose of gain, as well as any premises of open

air space being part of an educational establishment, hospital, Govern-

ment Department, hotel or catering establishment where in a hoist or

lift is instal1ed, shaH be a factory to which the Factories Ordinance

applies.

The Factories (Extension of Definition) Order, 1964 is bereby

revoked.
