GOVERN MENT LOTTERIES ACT, 1981

Governrnent Lotteries (Arnendrnent) (No. 2) Regulations, 1982

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Govern-

ment LQtteries Act, 1981, the Minister Qf Finance has made the follow-

ing regulations:-

l. (1) These regulations may be cited as the Lotteries (Amend-

ment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1982, and shall be read and construed as Qne

with the Government Lotteries Regu1atiQns, 1981, hereinafter referred

These regulations shall CQme into force on the 28th June,

1982.

Nru. 2). u għandhom jinqraw u jiftiehmu ħaġa waħda mar-Regolamenti

ta' 1-1981 dwar iI-Lotteriji tal-Gvern, hawnhekk iżjed 'il quddiem imsej-

ħa "ir-regolamenti prinċipali".

(2) Dawn ir-regolamenti għandhom jibdew iseħħu fit-28 ta'

Ġunju,

FQr paragraph (2) of regulatiQn 6 of the principal regulatiQns

there shall be substituted the follQwing

"(2) The price Qf a Weekly Lottery ticket shall be twenty-five

cents (25c). Sellers shall however, pay tO' the DirectQr twenty-two

cents (22c) fQr each Weekly LQttery ticket. The Director shall issue

a refund by means of a credit nQte for each whole sheet of four

Weekly LQttery tickets returned tO' him by a seller nQt later than

00 p.m. Qf the last day, not being a public hQliday, prior tO' the

draw Qf the Weekly Lottery tO' which the tickets SQ returned refer.

In the case of sellers in GOZQ such tickets shall be returned to the

Qffice of the Secretary for Gozo Affairs by not later than noon of

the last day but Qne, not being a public hQliday, prior to the said

draw.".

3. Immediately after paragraph (e) of regulatiQn 8 of the principal

regulations there shall be added the fQllowing

"(f) of the tickets winning the second and third prize in the

Weekly LQttery

each;

(g) of the tickets winning the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and

eighth prize in the Weekly LQttery .. .

five pounds each.".
