CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (REGULATION) ACT, 1952

Tobacco Manufacture Industry Wages Council

Wage Regulation (Amendment) Order, 1981

IN excrcise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Conditions

of Employn:ent (Regulation) Act, 1952, the Minister of Labour, Welfare

and Culture having received proposals from the Tobacco Manufacture

Industry Wagcs COlillCil concerning the conditions of employment of the

employces in relation to 'whom the said Wages Council operates, has

made the following order:-

This order may be cited as the Tobacco Manufacture In­

dustry 'Nagcs Council Wage Regulation (Amendment) Order, 1981, and

shall be read and construed as one with the Tobacco Manufacture In­

dustry Wages Council Wage Regulation Order. 1977. hereinafter referred

to as "the pIincipal order".

(2)

This order shall come into force on the

19th J anuary.

1981. 2.. For sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 8 of the Schedule to the

principal order there shall be substituted the following

"(2)

Watchmen shall be paid at time-and-a-half rates for time

worked in excess of sixty hours in a six-day week, and at double

time rates for all time worked on the seventh day.".
