Anned Forces of Malta (Assignment of Powers)

(Amendment) Order, 1981

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Malta

Armed Forces Act, 1970, and all other powers him enabling, the Pre­

sident of Malta has made the following order:-

l. This order may be cited as the Armed Forces of Malta (Assign­

ment of Powers) (Amendment) Order, 1981, and shall be read and con­

strued as one with the Armed Forces of Malta (Assignment of Powers)

Order, 1980, hereinafter referred to as "the principal order".

Immediately after artic1e 2 of the principal order there shall be

added the following new artic1e

"3. During such time as a man of the Armed Forces of

Malta on a fourteen month engagement is detai1ed to perform

duties with the Malta Po1ice Force, such man shall be empowered

to exercise all such functions, powers and duties as are by law

vested in a member of the Malta Police Force, and shall be subject

to the authority and discipline to which a member of the Malta

Police Force is subject.".
