Im.POd Duties (Drawback on Cigarettes)

(Amendment) Order, 1981

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Import

Duties Act, 1976, the Minister of Finance, Customs and People's Finan­

cial Investments h.as rnade the fol1owing order:-

This order may be cited as the Import Duties (Drawback on

Ci.garettes) (Amendment) Order, 1981, and shall be read and construed

as one with the Impo1t Duties (Drawback on Cigarettes) Order, 1973,

hereinafter referred to as "the principal order".

For the Schedule to the principal order there shall be sub­

stituted the followiug

cigarettes manufactured from leaf tobacco charged

',-,1ith duty at the tariff app1icable to goods grown,

produced or manufactured in the European

Economic Community;

E3.37,2 per kilogram of tobacco contained

in dgarettes manufactured from leaf tobacco

charged with duty at the General Tariff;

i8.37,2

per kilogram of tobacco contained in

dgarettes manufactured from tobacco imported cut,

or cut and blended, but not further processed.".

Nothing in th.Jis order shaH apply in respect of any tobacco

impor t ed or released iTom bond prior to 19th November, 1980.
