PUBLIC LOTTO ORDINANCE (CAP. 110)

Lotto (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations, 1981

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Public

Lotto Ordinance, the Minister of Finance, Customs and People's Finan­

cial Investments has made the following regulations:-

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Lotto (Amendment)

(No. 3) Regulations, 1981 and shall be read and construed as one with

the Lotto Regulations, 1948, hereinafter referred to as "the principal

regulations".

(2) Regulation 2 shaH have effect from the 28th December,

1981, while regulation 3 shaH have effect from the l st J anuary, 1982.

For regulation 7 of the principal regulations there shaH be

substituted the following

"7.

Lotto tickets shaH be of the following values

3 cents,

5 cents,

10 cents,

25 cents.

for a single stake, and

6 cents.

12 cents,

18 cents,

25 cents.

for a combination of stakes ou the same ticket in cases where such

combination is expressly allowed.".

For paragraph (1) of regulation 17 of the principal regulations

there shaH be substituted the following

"(1)

In the "Independent" Section. receivers shaH be remune­

rated by a commission on the annual sales at the following rates

26 per centum

on the first 0.000 ...

on the excess -

over 0,000 up to !6.000

12 per centum

over !6.000 up to !15,OOO

10 per centum

over !i5.000 ...

4 per centum.",
