Persol1lal Injuries (Civilians) Scheme, 1941 (Amendment)

Regu]ations, 1981

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Personal

Injuries (Emergency P r o vi s i on s ) Ordinance, the Minister of Finance,

Customs and People's Financial Investments has made the foJlowing

regulations:-

(l) T hes e regulations may be cited as the Personal Injuries

(Civilians) Scheme, 1941 (Amendment) Regulations, 1981 and shall be

r ea d and construed as one with the Personal Injuries (Civilians) Scheme,

] 941, h e r e i naft e r referred to as "the Scheme".

These regulations s h a l l come into force on the 1st January,

1982.

In pa r ag ra ph (2) of artic1e 12 of the Scheme, for the words "six

pounds ninety-two cents seven mils" there shall be substituted the words

"eight p o un d s thirty-seven cents seven mils",

A r t ic l e 14 of the Scheme shall be amended as follows

(a)

in sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (2) thereof, for the

wor d s "seven pounds eighty cents one mil" there shall be substituted

the words "nine pounds twenty-five cents one mil";

in s u b - p a r ag r a p h (b) of paragraph (2) thereof, for the

w o rd s "seven pounds forty-six cents four mils" there shall be sub­

st1tuted the words "eight pounds ninety-one cent four mils"; and

(c)

in paragraph (3) thereof, for the words "does not in any

case exceed seven pounds forty-six cents four mils" at the end

thereof there shall be substituted the words "does not in any case

exceed eight pounds ninety-one cents four mils".

Article 17 of the Scheme shall be amended as follows

(a) in the first sub-paragraph of paragraph (5) thereof, for

the words "seven pounds eleven cents four mils" and the words

"seven p ou n d s eighty-six cents four mils" there shall be substituted

respective1y the words " ei ght pounds fifty-six cents four mils" and

the words "nine pou nd s thirty-one cents four mils"; and

(b) in the proviso to paragraph (5) there of, for the words

"seven pounds e1even cents four mils", the words "seven pounds

eighty-six cents four mils", and the words "six pounds seventy-five

cents one mil" there shaH be substituted respectively the words

"eight pounds fifty-six cents four mils", the words "nine pounds

thirty-one cents four mils", and the words "eight pounds twenty

cents one mil".
