Work Books (Amendment) Order, 1980

IN exercise of the powers conferred by sections 17 and 19 of

the Employment Service Act, 1955, the Minister of Labour, Welfare

and Culture has made the following order:-

l. This order may be cited as the Work Books (Amendment)

Order, 1980, and it shall be read and construed as one with the Work

Books Order, 1974, hereinafter referred to as "the principal order",

For article 4 of the

there shall

be sub­

stituted the following:-

"4. (1) Such Work Book shall be issued on application

free of charge and shaH remain the property of the Malta

Government.

(2) Any person, who on being required by the Direc·

tor of Labour and Emigration, to deliver any Work Book of

which he is in possession, shall refuse or fail to do so within the

time fixed by the Director, shall be guilty of an offence against

these regulations.".
