Post Offices (Hoors and Business) (Amendment) Regulations, 1980

IN exercise o f the p o wer s conferred by section 3 of the Post Office

Act, 1975, the M i n i st er of Development. Energy, Port and Te l ec ommu

­

nications has made the f o ll ow in g regulations:-

(1) The se re gu lati o n s may be cited as the P os t Offices (Hours

and Business) (Amendrnent) Regulations. 1980 and shall be read and

construed as one with the Post Offices (Hours and Business) Regula­

tions, 1979. hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

(2) These regulations shalI come into force on the 13th day

of S eptember 1980.

Paragraph (l) of regulation 3 of the principal regulations shall

be amended as fol l ow s

(a) in paragraph (ii) of the provi s o thereto, the words "and

no payment o f telephone bills shall be accepted" shall be deleted;

a nd

(b) imme d ia t ely after paragraph (iv) of the pro v i so thereto

there shall be added the following new paragraph

"(v) no payment o f telephone bi l l s shall be accepted at

the Branch P o s t Offices at Luqa Airport, Old Bakery Street,

Valletta and Victoria, Gozo.".
