(ACT NO. VI OF 1956)

Maximum Pensionable Income Order, 1980

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the National

Insurance Act. 1956. the Minister of Labour. Welfare and Culture, with

the concurrence of the Minister of Finance, Customs and People's

Financial Investments, has made the following order:-

This order may be cited as the Maximum Pensionable Income

Order, 1980.

For the purposes of the first proviso to the definition of "pen

sionable income" in subsection (l) of section 2 of the National Insur

ance Act. 1956, and for all other purposes of the said Act, the

pensionable income shall in DO case exceed -

(a) six thousand pounds ([,6,000) per annum, with effect from

20th January, 1979, and

(b) six t h ou s a n d three hundred p o und s (;[6,300) per annum.

with effect from 5th January, 1980.
