Housing Authority (Transfer of Assets) (No. 2) Order, 1980

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Hous­

ing Authority Act, 1976, the President of Malta has made the

following order:-

l. This Order may be cited as the Housing Authority (Transfer

of Assets) (No. 2) Order, 1980.

tad-Djar (Trasferiment ta' Proprjeta) (Ordni Nru. 2).

The property described in paragraph 4 of this order is hereby

specified for the purposes of section 12 of the Housing Authority

Act, 1976.

The property specified in paragraph 2 of this order shall be

transferred and vest in the Housing Authority as provided in the

section aforesaid with effect from the 16th day of May, 1980.

The property referred to in paragraph 2 of this order is the

following, that is to say

(a) An area of land at the Attard Government Housing

Estate consistiI1g of the plots in the said Estate known as Plots

Nos. l to 9 having an area of approximately 1720 square metres

bounded on the North-East, South-East and North-West by

Government property.

(b) The following land forming part of the Kirkop Govern­

ment Housing Estate

An area of land consisting of the plots in the said

(i)

Estate known as Plots Nos. 23 to 39 having an area of

approximately 3719 square metres bounded on the North­

West by a proposed new street, on the South-East by an

unnamed public street, and on the North-East and South­

West by two proposed new streets.

(ii) An area of land consisting of the plots in the said

Estate known as Plots Nos. 41 to 51 having an area of

approximately 1857 square metres bounded on the North­

West and South-East by Government property and on the

North-East and South-West by two proposed new streets;

(iii) An area of land consisting of the plots in the

said Estate known as Plots Nos. 40, 52 and 53 having an

area of approximate]y 857 square metres bounded on the

North-Wes t and South-West by Government property and

on the South-East by an unnamed public street.

(c) An area of land at the Fleur-de-Lys Government

Housing Estate consisting of the plots in the said Estate known

as Plots Nos. 35 to 48 and 51 to 66 having an area of approxima­

tely 6296 square metres bounded on the Nort h, South, East and

West by Government property.

(d) An area of land at the Mellieħa Government Housing

Estate consisting of the plot in the said Estate known as Plot

No. 107 having an area of approximately 161 square metres

bounded on the North-West by property of the Housing Autho­

rity, on the South-West by an unnamed public street and on the

South-Eas t by property of Mr Francis VelIa.

(e) An area of land at the Mosta Government Housing

Estate consisting of the plots in the said Estate known as Plots

Nos. 66 to 95, 109 to 136, and 150 to 177 having an area of ap­

proximately 19540 square metres bounded on the North partly

by an unnamed new street off OId Mill Street and partly by

two unnamed new streets, on the East by Government property

and on the West by part of OId Mill Street.

(f) The following land forming part of the Naxxar Govern­

ment Housing Estate

(i) An area of land consisting of the plot in the said

Estate known as Plot No. 37 having an area of approxima­

tely 137 square metres bounded on the North-West by an

unnamed public street, on the South-West by property of

Mr George Fenech and on the North-East by property of

Mr Mario Mifsud;

(ii) An area of land consisting of the plot in the said

Estate known as PIot No. 55 having an area of approxima­

tely 135 square metres bounded on the North-West by an

unnamed public street and on the South-West and North­

East by Government property;

(jjD An area of land consisting of the plot in the said

Estate known as Plot No. 86 having an area of approxima­

teIy 152 square metres bounded on the South-East by a pro­

posed public street, on the North-East partly by properties

of Mr Emanuel Sammut and Mr Anthony Attard and partly

by Government property and on the South-West by pro­

perty of Mr John Sammut.

(g) An area of land at Pieta consisting of plots known as

PIots N os. 1 to 12 having an area of approximately 3294 square

metres bounded on the North-West,

The fol1owing land forming part of the Qrendi Go­

vernment Housing Estate

(i) An area of land consisting of the plots in the said

Estate known as Plots Nos. 70 to 90 having an area of

approximately 5251 square metres bounded on the North­

East by property of Mr Rosario Magro, on the South-East

partly by property of Mr Saviour Farrugia and partly by

property of Mr Joseph Schembri and on the South-West by

Government property;

(ii) An area of land consisting of the plot in the said

Estate known as PIot No. 48 having an area of approxima­

tely 190 square metres bounded on the North-East partly

by an unnamed public street and partIy by property of Mr

Emanuel Ebejer, on the South-West by property of Mr

Michael Farrugia and on the South-East by an unnamed

public street,

(i) An area of land at the Safi Government Housing Estate

consisting of the plots in the said Estate known as Plots Nos.

l to 45 having an area of approximately

1.0056 hectares

bouncled on the N orth-N orth-East and on the South by Govern­

ment property, and on the South-East and on the North-North­

West partly by Government property and part1y by an unnamed

public street.

(j) An area of land at the St Julians Government Housing

Estate consisting of the plots in the said Estate known as Plots

Nos. 3A and 3B having an area of approximately 540 square

metres bounded on the North-East by property of Mr Henry

Galea, on the South-West by property of Mr Joseph A. Xerri

and on the South-East by an unnamed public street.

and on the North-East by property of Mr Salvatore Testa­

ferrata Moroni Viani;

An area of land consisting of the plots in the said

Estate known as Plots Nos. 43 and 54 having an area of

approximately 670 square metres bounded on the North­

West, North-East and South by Government property and

on the East by an unnamed public street;

(iii)

An area of land consisting of the plots in the said

Estate known as Plots Nos. 68 to 70 having an area of

approximately 926 square metres bounded on the North and

West by Abate Rigord Street, on the South partly by Abate

Rigord Street and partly by Government property;

(iv) An area of land consisting of the plot in the said

Estate known as Plot No. 71 having an area of approxima­

tely 263 square metres bounded on the N orth by Govern­

ment property, on the South-East by an unnamed public

street and on the West partly by Government property and

partly by an unnamed public street.

(v)

An area of land consisting of the plot in the said

Estate known as Plot No. 72 having an area of approxima­

tely 326 square metres bounded on the N orth and East by

an unnamed public street and on the West partly by Go­

vernment property and partly by an unnamed public street.

(1) An area of land at the Żurrieq Government Housing

Estate consisting of the plots in the said Estate known as Plots

Nos. l to 32 having an area of approximately 10194 square

metres bounded on the North-West, North-East and South-West

by Government property and on the South-East partly by

Government property and partly by an unnamed public street.

An area of land at the Xagħra Government Housing

(m)

Estate, Gozo, consisting of the plots in the said Estate known as

Plots Nos. 79 to 101 having an area of approximately 5250

square metres bounded on the N orth-East and South-East by

an unnamed public street and on the South-West by 8th Sep­

tember A venue.

(n) An area of land at the Xewkija Government Housing

Estate, Gozo, consisting of the plots in the said Estate known

as Plots Nos. l to 24 in Block 5 and Plots Nos. 1 to 24 in Block

6 having an area of approximately 13339 square metres

bounded on the North, East and West by Government property.
