MEDICAL AND KINDRED PROFESSIONS ORDINANCE

(CAP. 51)

Drugs (Control) (Amendment) Regulations, 1980

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 35A of the Medical

and Kindred Professions Ordinance, the Minister of Health and Environ­

ment, on the advice of the Council of Health, has made the following

regulations

l. These regulations may be cited as the Drugs (Control) (Amend­

ment) Regulations, 1980, and shall be read and construed as one with

the Drugs (Control) Regulations, 1976, hereinafter referred to as "the

principal regulations".

Immediately after paragraph (3) of regulation 11 of the princi­

pal regulations there sha11 be added the fol1owing paragraph

"(4) For the purpose of this regulation, "deliver" inc1udes

any act or omission whereby a person allows of suffers any other

person, not being a person authorised to be in possession of speci­

fied drugs under regulations, to take possession of any such drug.".

Immediately after paragraph (9) of regulation 14 of the princi­

pal regulations there sha11 be added the following paragraph

"(10)

It shall be lawful for the Superintendent to circulate

to

(a) all medical practitioners the name, and other details

as are shown in the Sixth Schedule to these regulations, of any

person in respect of whom any preparation as is referred to

in paragraph (1) of this regulation has been prescribed, and

(b) all medical practitioners, dental surgeons and dentists

the name, and other details as are shown in the Sixth Schedule

to these regulations, of any person in respect of whom any

specified drug has been prescribed or dispensed.".

Immediately after the Fifth Schedule to the principal regula­

tions there shall be added the following new Schedule

"SIXTH SCHEDULE
