Import Duties (Drawback on Cigarettes)

(Amendment) Order, 1980

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Import

Duties Act, 1976, the Minister of Finance, Customs and People's

Financial Investments has made the following order

l. T h i s order may be cited as the Import Duties (Drawback on

Cigarettes) (Amendment) Order, 1980, and sha11 be read and construed

as one with the Import Duties (Drawback on Cigarettes) Order, 1973,

hereinafter referred to as "the principal order",

Dan l-ordni jista' jissejjaħ l-Ordni ta' 1-1980 li jemenda l-Ordni

ta' 1-1980 li jemenda l-Ordni dwar id-Dazji ta' Importazzjoni (Ħlas lura

fuq Sigan-etti Esportati), u għandu jinqara u jiftiehem ħaġa waħda ma'

l-Ordni ta' 1-1973 dwar id-Dazji ta' Importazzjoni (Ħlas lura fuq Sigar­

retti Esportati), hawnhekk iżjed 'il quddiem imsejjaħ "l-ordni prinċi­

pali".

For the Schedule to the principal order there sha11 be substi­

tuted the following

cigarettes

manufactured fro�

leaf tobacco

charged with duty at the General Tariff;

[7.33,2 per kilogram of tobacco contained in

cigarettes manufactured from tobacco imported

cut, or cut and blended, but not fmiher pro­

cessed."

Nothing in this order shall apply in respect to any tobacco

imported or released from bond prior to the 15th November, 1979.
