Electricity Supply (Amendment) (No. 2)

IN exercise of the powers eonferred by section 39 of the Enemalta

Aet, 1977, Enemalta, with the approval of the Minister of Develop­

ment, Energy, Port and Telecommunications, has made the following

regulations:-

(1) These regu1ations may be eited as the Electricity Supply

(Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1980 and shall be read and eonstrued

as one with the Electrieity Supply Regulations, 1939, hereinafter referred

to as "the principal regulations".

(2) These regulations shall eome into effect, with respect to

any consumer, immediate1y after the first reading of the relative eleetri­

eity meter made after the first day of January, 1981

Provided that, where any meter is not aceessib1e for reading

on the day when the meter reader cal1s on the eonsumer for sueh pur­

pose, these regulations shall, with respect to sueh consumer, come into

effeet on that day.

The First Schedule

to

the

regulations

be

amended as follows

to the principal

(a) for the figures "f2.12,5", "2c l " and "2e7" there shall be

substituted respeetively the fjgures "f2.25,0", "2c2" and "2c8";

and

(b)

for the words "one pound eighty seven eents five mils"

in the first proviso there shall be substituted the words "two

pounds".

In the Second Schedu1e to the principal regu1ations for the

figures "[4" and "3c8" there shall be substituted respeetively the figures

"f4.50,0" and "3c9".

In the Fourth Schedule to the principal regulations for the

figures "2c8" there shall be substituted the figures "2c9".
