Control of Pigeons (Sliema Local Council)

(Amendment) Bye-Laws, 2022

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 34 of the Local

Government Act, the Tas-Sliema Local Council has made the

following Bye-Laws:-

The title of these Bye-Laws is the Control of Pigeons

(Sliema Local Council) (Amendment) Bye-Laws, 2022 and these Bye-

Laws shall be read and construed as one with the Control of Pigeons

(Sliema Local Council) Bye-Laws, hereinafter referred to as "the

principal Bye-Laws".

Bye-law 1 of the principal Bye-Laws shall be substituted

by the following new bye-law

"1. The title of these Bye-Laws is the Control of Pigeons

(Tas-Sliema Local Council) Bye-Laws.".

Bye-law 5 of the principal Bye-Laws shall be amended as

follows

(a) in bye-law 5.1.1 thereof, the words "for a first

contravention to a fine (ammenda) of forty-six euro and fifty-

nine cents (€46.59)" shall be substituted by the words "for a first

contravention to a fine (ammenda) of seventy euro (€70);";

(b)

bye-law 5.1.2 thereof shall be deleted; and

(c) in bye-law 5.1.3 thereof, the words "in the case of a

continuing contravention to a fine (ammenda) of eleven euro and

sixty-five cents (€11.65) for each day that the contravention

continues" shall be substituted by the words "in the case a

continuing contravention, to a fine (ammenda) of fifteen euro

(€15) for each say that the contravention continues.".
