Prohibition of Birds at Events at L-Imdina

(L-Imdina Local Council) Bye-Laws, 2014

IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 34, 35(8) and 60

of the Local Councils Act, the L-Imdina Local Council has made the

following Bye-Laws:-

Reg. 1 Citation. — Prohibition of Birds at Events at L-Imdina Open official source

The title of these Bye-Laws is Prohibition of Birds at

Events at L-Imdina (L-Imdina Local Council) Bye-Laws, 2014.

Reg. 2 Interpretation. — Prohibition of Birds at Events at L-Imdina Open official source

In these Bye-Laws, unless the context otherwise requires

"the Act" means the Local Councils Act;

"birds" means birds of any species;

"the Council" means the L-Imdina Local Council;

"events" means a gathering of any nature taking place within the

locality of L-Imdina.

Reg. 3 Prohibition of the release of birds. — Prohibition of Birds at Events at L-Imdina Open official source

Persons shall be prohibited from releasing birds at events

held in the locality of L-Imdina.

Reg. 4 Penalty. — Prohibition of Birds at Events at L-Imdina Open official source

Any person who is in breach of the provisions of bye-law 3

shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine (ammenda) of seventy euro

(€70.00) for such contravention.
