ACT No. XVIII of 2012

AN ACT to amend various laws relating to the classification of

films and of dramatic and other stage productions.

BE IT ENACTED by the President, by and with the advice and

consent of the House of Representatives, in this present Parliament

assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:-

The short title of this Act is the Various Laws Short title.

(Classification of Films and of Dramatic and other Stage Productions)

(Amendment) Act, 2012.

PART I: Amendments to the Code of Police Laws

This Part amends the Code of Police Laws, and it shall be Amendment of

PART II: Amendments to the Malta Council for Culture

This Part amends the Malta Council for Culture and the

Arts Act and it shall be read and construed as one with the Malta

Council for Culture and the Arts Act, hereinafter in this Part referred

to as "the principal Act".

Immediately after sub-article (3) of article 33 of the

principal Act there shall be added the following new sub-article

"(4) The Minister may make regulations in respect of the

classification of cinema and dramatic and other stage

productions and the procedure related thereto.".
