ACT No. XIV of 2008

AN ACT to amend the Malta Standards Authority Act, Cap. 419.

BE IT ENACTED by the President, by and with the advice and

consent of the House of Representatives, in this present Parliament

assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

(1) The short title of this Act is the Malta Standards Short title and

Authority (Amendment) Act, 2008 and this Act shall be read and commencement.

(2) This Act shall come into force on such date as the Minister

responsible for the Malta Standards Authority may by notice in the

Gazette appoint.

Sub-article (2) of article 3 of the principal Act shall be Amendment of

article 3 of the

amended as follows

(a)

paragraphs (k) and (l) thereof shall be deleted and

substituted by the following new paragraph (k)

“(k) two members appointed by the Chamber of

Commerce, Enterprise and Industry; and”; and

(b)

paragraph (m) thereof shall be renumbered as (l).
