AN ACT to appropriate a sum not exceeding nineteen million, seven

hundred and three thousand and seven Maltese Lirifor the service

of the financial year 1996.

BE IT ENACTED by the President, by and with the advice and

consent of the House of Representatives, in this present Parliament

assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

This Act may be cited as the Second (1996) Appropriation

A sum not' exceeding nineteen million, seven hundred and

1996. three thousand Maltese Liri to meet expenditure in respect of financial

year 1996 under the Votes specified in the First Schedule to this Act

shall be and the same is hereby charged upon the Consolidated Fund.

A further sum not exceeding seven Maltese Liri, to meet

expenditure in respect of the financial year 1996 under the Votes

specified in the Second Schedule to this Act shall be and the same is

hereby charged upon the Consolidated Fund, provided that such sum

shall be transferred to the Contingencies Fund in replacement of

withdrawals made out of this Fund to cover the various services

detailed in regard to such Votes in the Supplementary Estimates of

Expenditure for the financial year 1996.
